The Origin

A historic 580-hectare estate in the Soconusco highlands near Tapachula, Chiapas. Over five generations of coffee production, powered by 100% hydroelectric energy with 300 hectares under organic cultivation.

Finca Hamburgo sits in the Sierra Madre highlands near Tapachula, in the Soconusco region of Chiapas - one of Mexico's oldest coffee-growing areas. The estate spans 580 hectares at 1,200 meters, where volcanic soil and Pacific-influenced weather patterns produce intense, fruit-forward profiles. The farm runs on 100% hydroelectric energy and maintains over 300 hectares under organic cultivation. The Bourbon varietal thrives here, benefiting from cool Pacific-side mornings and warm afternoons. Today the estate also operates as an ecotourism destination, but coffee remains its economic backbone and defining purpose.
