How It Works
From roaster to your door — here's what happens after you order
1. Your coffee is roasted fresh
Every order is roasted in the week leading up to shipment. We don't keep a warehouse of pre-roasted beans. When you order, your coffee hasn't been roasted yet — it's roasted for you.
2. It rests before it ships
Freshly roasted coffee needs to offgas — releasing CO₂ built up during roasting. We hold every batch for a minimum of 3 days before shipping. This isn't a delay; it's why your coffee tastes so much better than what you'd get from a warehouse. Beans that haven't rested properly brew flat and bitter.
3. We ship once to twice a week
We batch shipments rather than shipping individual orders daily. This lets us coordinate with our roaster partners and keep costs down — which is why we can offer free shipping on all orders. Expect to wait 4–10 days from when you place your order to when it arrives.
4. US orders go through a domestic resender
Our roasters are based in Mexico. Shipping direct internationally can trigger a ~$32 customs inspection fee for US customers. To avoid that, we route US orders through a domestic resender: your coffee ships to a US fulfillment partner, who forwards it to you domestically. No customs fees, no surprises.
5. You get a tracking number
Once your order ships, we'll email you a tracking number so you can follow your package through to delivery.
