Grano x Grano
An independent specialty roaster in Mexico, sourcing directly from family farms across the highlands.
Roots in the Highlands
Grano x Grano (GXG) is a specialty roaster working directly with small family farms and cooperatives across Mexico's highland growing regions - Chiapas, Veracruz, Oaxaca, and Nayarit.
By sourcing directly from the farms, GXG cuts out the middlemen that typically sit between growers and roasters. This means better prices for farmers, full traceability for every lot, and the kind of quality control that only comes from close, long-term relationships.
GXG is a micro-batch roaster. Their largest drum tops out at 10kg, which puts them firmly in the artisan end of the spectrum. At that scale, every roast gets individual attention - temperature curves are dialled in per origin, per lot, rather than running a generic profile across everything. It's the difference between a chef tasting as they go and a factory line.

How the Supply Chain Works
Farm to Roaster
Family farms and cooperatives grow and harvest the beans. Grano x Grano buys directly from them - no brokers, no commodity markets.
Roaster to You
GXG roasts in micro batches - 10kg at a time - and ships direct. Your coffee arrives days after roasting, not months after sitting in a warehouse.
Fully Traceable
Every bag can be traced back to the farm it came from. Direct relationships mean transparency about origin, price, and quality at every step.
